OpenAI has officially unveiled GPT-6 Astra, its most intelligent and aligned AI model to date. Setting a new frontier in frontier benchmarks, Astra achieves near-perfect scores, including a 98% on FrontierMath Tier 4 and an unprecedented 99.9% on ARC-AGI-3.
Designed for deep professional work, GPT-6 Astra introduces major step-change improvements in complex coding, cybersecurity, and autonomous computer use. The model can natively navigate complex software, construct CAD 3D models, execute end-to-end design workflows, and manage multi-step daily tasks nearly twice as fast as previous generations—all while cutting token usage and API costs dramatically.
Safety and alignment also take center stage: OpenAI reports zero unauthorized scope drift on critical evaluation benchmarks.
GPT-6 Astra is rolling out today to select organizations, with access coming soon to all ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise users, as well as via the OpenAI API, Microsoft Azure, and AWS Bedrock.
